Yeah, I’ve been taking my time on the blog lately, but here are some really awesome concept designs that comic book artist Rick McCollum sketched up from my notes for working title Villain Treatment:
How about that?
I think that these are pretty cool and spot on to what I had in mind for the most part; it’s a great start to the series. I’ve got the first script in the can, now I need to find a permanent artist to pencil the series. Wish me luck!
For those of you who have been losing sleep over my absence from my blog, fear not for I am still here. While I have been taking some time off from the short stories, I have been fine tuning my own comic book series, with the working title Villain Treatment.
The basic premise of the fictional world of Villain Treatment is that all of the world’s super-villains have either been imprisoned or have been placed into government-sanctioned group therapy rehabilitation programs. Think of it as Dr. Drew with your favorite supervillain trying to ween off his or her addiction to crime. Its a comedic story with a deeper mystery that will eventually be unraveled.
Giving me some pointers and advice is Cincinnati local comic book veteran Rick McCollum, who has worked on books like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m also feeling out some artists on craigslist if Rick can’t fully commit to the project.
I’m still going to be putting out some short stories here and there; my next story being Wake Up Joanie, which is a tale of a young woman’s discussion with her cell phone. So stay tuned faithful friends and fans of Mike’s Masterpieces in the Making, I’m only getting started!
